I’ve fallen in love with the angel,

The angel of the night.

I saw her fly

Out from moonlight.

Time seemed to slow,

When she crossed my path.

Her wings were ghostly white,

Her hair gleaming black.

Before I had known it,

She had flown back out,

Back out into the darkness,

Back out into the night.

But, I still remember her face,

Sculpted, sharp, and bright.

I’ll come back tomorrow,

Praying to catch one more sight.
